Seafood is considered one of the primary sources of omega-3 fatty acids and is a healthier option in all varieties of non-vegetarian items. Doctors recommend that you will be healthier if you consume fish rather than beef or any other meat. But some special species of fish offer an additional health benefit due to the sources they offer. One such category of fish is salmon which is rich in fatty acids, DHA, protein, selenium, potassium, vitamin B and other such healthy compounds. But let us know why a Papa Earth wild caught salmon is better than farmed salmon:

    Better for your heart health

The most prominent and best benefit of consuming wild-caught salmon is that it is healthier for your heart health. It contains omega-3 fatty acids that protect your cardiovascular system. Thus, if you consume wild-caught salmon, your blood flow will improve, reducing high blood pressure.

    Safer than farmed salmon

Research reveals that farmed fish and salmon contain a variety of harmful elements. These include heavy metals, pesticides, antibiotics, and other such compounds that are unhealthy for you and your family. It not only is responsible for many diseases but can also cause fatal health problems such as cancer.

    Improves cholesterol and blood lipids

A wild-caught salmon contains fatty acids that help in maintaining cholesterol levels and blood lipids. Regularly consuming wild-caught salmon will impact your blood lipids, largely and reduce the chances of heart diseases caused due to cholesterol and blood lipid levels.

    Boosts your brain health

Do you know that an omega-3 fatty acid called DHA i.e., docosahexaenoic acid is responsible for boosting brain health? And wild-caught salmon is rich in DHA which helps in maintaining good brain health and reduces the chances of Alzheimer’s disease and other brain-related diseases.

If you are a fish lover but also want to enjoy the healthy benefits that seafood offers, you should be specific about what you are buying. Everything available in the market is not healthy and some processed meat or farmed products can cause more harm than benefit. Similarly, when buying salmon, prefer going with wild-caught salmon to get all the health benefits in your body. In addition, if you are on your weight management journey, salmon is a good option for a meal. They will improve your heart health, gut health, brain, health and overall immunity. Thus, buy better and healthier rather than spending on anything.
